Zexena is an Ethiopian real estate aggregator built for the diaspora. We collect property listings from verified Telegram channels across Addis Ababa and Hawassa, structure the data, and present it in a searchable interface with map view, price conversion, and neighbourhood filtering.
If you've ever tried to find an apartment or house in Ethiopia from abroad, you know the pain: listings scattered across dozens of Telegram channels, no standard format, prices in Amharic mixed with English, and no way to compare or filter. Zexena fixes that.
Ethiopian real estate is a $50B+ market with zero aggregation infrastructure. Diaspora Ethiopians — in DC, LA, Dallas, Seattle, London, Toronto, Frankfurt — are actively investing in property back home, but rely on word-of-mouth, family connections, or scrolling through Telegram channels manually.
Zexena makes this process searchable, filterable, and transparent. We believe access to structured real estate data should not require being physically present in Addis Ababa.
Zexena is built by Sol, an Ethiopian-American software engineer based in the US. The project grew out of personal frustration trying to help family navigate the Addis Ababa property market from across the ocean.
This is an independent project — not backed by a large company. Your feedback directly shapes what gets built next.

Zexena aggregates publicly available listing data from Telegram channels. We do not verify property ownership, title deeds, or agent credentials. Source verification badges indicate data provenance (which channel posted the listing), not property authenticity. Always conduct independent due diligence before any property transaction. Zexena is not a licensed real estate broker and does not facilitate transactions.
